Sea Kayaking Kaikoura

Welcome to Kaikoura Kayaks

Welcome to our magic little sea-side village of Kaikoura, where the marine life out numbers the humans and mountains meet the sea.

Come & catch up with the locals of the marine kind, while paddling under the Seaward Kaikoura Mountains which look breath taking at this time of the year from Sea Kayak.

Summer paddling in Kaikoura

Summer paddling is here & there has been some amazing encounters with the Fur Seals & Marine Life around the Peninsula.

The average temp is 20*c during the day.

The curious NZ Fur Seals are only a few paddle strokes away and our local guides would love to introduce you to them and their mates in the back yard of the Kaikoura Peninsula.

When I first paddled around their playground, I was left with a lasting impression which became addictive and thought no one should miss out on this experience.

So Kaikoura Kayaks was created as a means of everybody having the chance to feel the magic of Kaikoura's Marine Mammals.

Our hassle free, Eco Friendly tours offer a safe, enjoyable, interactive trip, with little effort and a whole lot of good fun!

I invite you to taste a bit of the famous Kiwi Pie, that is Kaikoura and its Wild Life, and look forward to paddling with you soon.

Below is what Darren & Jami had to say about their Seal Kayaking tour..........

Hi my name is Darren Swart.  My wife (Jami) and I did the Seal Kayaking tour with you on Thursday April 23, 2009 at 9am.  It was an amazing trip.  We had a great time.  We saw lots of seals.  As well, we were lucky enough to see Orca Whales, dolphins and even a blue penguin!  Unfortunately, we had a problem with our camera that day.  Our guide for that morning, I think his name was Gary but I'm not sure, offered to send us the pictures he had taken that day.  I was wondering if you could forward this email on to the guide we had that day if he's still interested in sending us his pictures.  Thanks for the great tour and memories.  If I know of anyone heading to the south island I will definitely recommend they take the seal kayaking tour.  We were on vacation for a whole month and it was one of the highlights of our whole vacation!

While in Kaikoura we recommend you stay at www.albatross-kaikoura.co.nz

Next door to our base!
